Satin needs attention while washing

Washing satin fabric carefully is of great importance and helps in improving the performance to much greater extent. Basically silk satin and acetate both are delicate so are recommended to be drying cleaned but getting this done every time is a bit difficult. Therefore many people use this fabric for much time and then give to the dry cleaners for cleaning.
One more effective solution is also available and that is to purchase dry clean solution. These solutions are very well enriched with all possible ingredients required for perfect cleaning. This can be used in washing machines too. Many times people use them to substitute dry cleaning. In case, normal detergent is being used then go for a very mild one and use Luke warm water along side. Take water in a bucket and then detergent into it. Put your satin inside it and keep it for some time. Then wash it properly in running water.  Though people are using machines for washing but it’s always better to stick to hand wash for longer lasting results of your fabric.
Drying of satin can be done after placing it on plain surface. Removal of extra water should be your next step for which you can use dry soft cloth. For better results keep it over for efficient drying.
Ironing of satin is another important step which needs proper attention and care. Set your iron on low for ironing satin cloth. Its velvet so is often attached with the risk of burning. To be on safe side always, iron from the backside of the fabric. Upper ironing can ruin the shine and glow of the surface. Always keep your fabric in cool place away from sunlight and heat.
